Dear Friends,
Signals Parivaar has great pleasure in introducing a unique compilation of thought provoking articles written by Lt Gen SRR Aiyengar with what he experienced during his journey of life for 81 years. We are grateful to the general for his consent to share his web compilation with our Bigger Parivaar of the Armed Forces Veterans.
As a prelude to the introduction let us reflect over few questions like
" What is to become of me? What does the future hold for me and my family? How can I set out on my own into a world that seems loaded with conflict and strife? How do I cope with day-to-day pressures and stress? How do I find peace in the midst of utter turmoil and agony? How can my life be useful and happy not only for myself but also for the society? What will allow me to be in the world, but not of the world? "How do I walk a path that leads to a full and authentic life?"
These are questions asked by many people today, so what you would be asking yourselves. Fortunately, there exist multiple positive responses and guidance that can enrich one's life if one sincerely enshrines adequate keenness to learn and benefit from them.
The above compilation is placed on the web authored by the general for our readers to read and reflect on such questions, The web https://militaryethicsranga.blogspot.com opens in the public domain on any device.
Here is personal invitation from the author you to ---

THE AUTHOR |
The man continued to watch, hoping that, at any moment, the butterfly would open its wings and fly away. Nothing happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its brief life dragging around its shrunken body and shrivelled wings, incapable of flight. What the man, out of kindness and his eagerness to help, had failed to understand was that the tight cocoon and the efforts that the butterfly had to make in order to squeeze out of that tiny hole were Nature’s way of training the butterfly and of strengthening its wings.
It is the experience of struggle and hardships in which great leaders develop strength and fortitude to address the challenges and surprises of life’s beautiful journey. It is their learning about the joy and satisfaction achieved by never giving up or giving in. As Elisabeth Kubler-Ross wrote: “The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths.”
The contents of the essays in the Blog arranged more in the form of personal reflections and introspection, are a sincere attempt of mine to guide you in looking forward to your life with expectancy and hope. These are universal principles that lead to usefulness and happiness. Progress consists largely of learning to apply these truths that have always existed. These work for the highest good for all. Every effort we make in a positive manner can move us to the completion of great undertakings. Small attempts can lead to big accomplishments. Life is a growing process similar to the one we experience in school. We have the ability to exercise free will in our choices. Everything is available.
One of the important purposes of this compilation is to encourage you, the reader, to open yourself to the joys and wonders of your existence. It is with sincere hope that you will accept the challenge to continue a life-long pursuit of progress toward the awareness of the spirit within you. I sincerely hope that as you read through the pages of this compilation, you will find it assisting you to lead a joyful and purposeful life. May the depths of your magnificent struggles be understood and treasured from the heights of the mountain tops your magnificent journey will take you.
I don't boast of any literary excellence of its contents, as these are some simple expressions of my reflections in my journey of life now getting to 81 plus years. Knowing the reading habits of current generation of officers , I have tried to keep them short and brief.
Having headed three premier training ests of the Armed Forces i.e. MCTE, NDC & DSSC, I had the good fortune of gaining insights on technical , tactical and strategic issues. After retirement in Apr 2001, I have published 5 books including a Hindi translation of an English version. My interests over last 2-3 years have shifted to reading our scriptures etc. and this had prompted me to include in my Earlier Blog new sub menu titled "BEING.BECOMING AND LIVING",
After my retirement i took up to Heartfulness meditation as advocated by Shri Ramachandra Mission ( SAHAJ MARG) and found it very beneficial and calming . The Mission literature and talks of my Gurus have influenced me in all my writings on such reflections.
In a few days' time I should be posting my 100th article in the Blog. I have so far posted as on date 98 articles
