A state-of-the-art passenger terminal with facilitation centre to host government officials responsible for ensuring hassle-free travel of pilgrims, food kiosks, parking areas and security points will be ready by November 8 when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the much-awaited Kartarpur corridor.
Indian pilgrims of all faiths and persons of Indian origin now Nationals of Other Countries can use the corridor and the travel will be visa free. Pilgrims need to carry only a valid passport while persons of Indian origin need to carry Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card along with the passport of their country, 5000 pilgrims per day will be allowed and on certain occasion this can be increased to 10000.
Those who wish to visit the holy shrine need to register with the home ministry. Under the agreement, Pakistan will levy a fee of $20 per pilgrim per visit. India said it is ready to amend agreement should Pakistan change its stand on the fee agreement to operationalise the Kartarpur Corridor paving way for Indian Sikh pilgrims to pay visit the holy Darbar Sahib shrine in Pakistan. Pakistan has assured India to make sufficient provision for Langar (community kitchen) and distribution of "Prasad".
Pilgrims, who wish to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur in Pakistan will be allowed to carry a maximum of Rs 11,000 and a 7-kg bag, and will not be allowed to venture beyond the shrine. The Kartarpur corridor will be open from dawn to dusk. The pilgrims travelling in the morning will have to return on the same day and the corridor will be operational throughout the year, except on notified days, to be informed in advance.
Online registration for Kartarpur pilgrimage starts
Devotees can register themselves on government's online portal. For registration of pilgrims, online portal (prakashpurb550.mha.gov.in) has already gone live , The pilgrims will have to register themselves online on this portal and exercise their choice to travel on any day. They will be informed by SMS and email of the confirmation of registration 3 to 4 days in advance of the date of travel. An Electronic Travel Authorisation will also be generated.
The pilgrims need to carry Electronic Travel Authorisation, along with their passport, when they arrive at the Passenger Terminal Building here, the statement said.

General Instructions for Pilgrims
2. Applicant is required to register himself/herself in advance of proposed date of travel.
3. Registration does not confer a right to travel.
4. Applicants who are granted permission may be informed only 4 days before proposed date of travel. Therefore, Applicants should make their travel arrangements in advance.
5. Pilgrims will go in the morning and shall have to return the same day.
6. Pilgrims shall be allowed to visit only Sri Kartarpur Sahib and not anywhere outside.
Do's
1.Eco-friendly material, preferably cloth bags should be used & surroundings should be kept clean.
2. Currency limitation of maximum 11000/- INR must be followed.
3. Only one baggage upto 7 kg weight including drinking water may be carried.
Don'ts
1. Do not carry any item mentioned in the negative list
2. Smoking, drinking and use of tobacco is not allowed inside Passenger Terminal Building(PTB) Complex
3. Do not touch any unattended article. Inform about anything suspicious to the authorities.
4. Playing loud music and photographing others without permission may not be done.
Instructions for Filling Registration Form
Before filling the online registration:
1. Ensure that Acrobat Reader is installed in your computer system. If you do not have the software it can be downloaded from the said site.
2. Applicant must be aware of his/her blood group for filling registration form.
Conditions for Applicant :
1. Applicant should possess a valid passport.
2. OCI card holder need to fill OCI cards details in registration form.
3. It is the applicant’s responsibility to feed accurate information complete in every respect including spellings of name, date of birth etc. as in passport.
4. Incorrect or false information, concealing any material facts in the application form will be ground for rejection of application.
Keep the following items (in digital form) ready while filling the registration form:
1. Scanned copy of passport size photograph (in JPG format not exceeding 300 kb in size).
2. Scanned copy of Passport (containing photo & personal particulars) and last page containing family details in pdf format only not exceeding 500 kb in size.

- Each pilgrim can carry one baggage upto 7 kg weight including drinking water and dry eatables if any during the travel.
- What are the processes to be followed by the pilgrim before travel?
- Pilgrims shall visit the Passenger Terminal Building, Dera Baba Nanak on the date of visit along with all relevant documents. After Immigration and Customs checks, they will proceed to security checks and thereafter they may start their visit through the corridor. Government of Punjab will arrange shuttle service for PTB, Dera Baba Nanak from designated points.

- Pilgrims can carry their necessary medicine during their visit.
