Three Sikhs accompanied Guru Teg Bahadur ji from Anandpur Sahib to Delhi and were condemned by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb to be executed along with Guru Sahib, if they didn't accept Islam as an alternative to being let off. They were all Mohyal Brahmins.
They were martyred on 24th November 1675 on the site where a fountain was later made by the British on the road in front of the old Kotwali where now stands Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib in Chandni Chowk.
Their names are Bhai Mati Dass --who was sawn into two pieces
Bhai Sati Dass was burnt alive
Bhai Dayala was thrown into a cauldron of boiling water
You haven't included my community, Mohyal Brahmins.
We are basically from un-devided pre partition Punjab.
We are sword wielding, meat eating brahmins. Influenced by Sikh guru's teachings, we do believe in Hindu and Sikh philosophies. Traditionally the elder son was offered to serve Sikh Gurus and he became a Sikh.
